Governors

The governing body is made from a variety of different sources:  Parents, teachers, local authority representatives and, as we are a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School, representatives from the church community (Foundation Governors)

Our current Governing Body is made up of the following:

• Ms Jean Kinsey – Foundation Ex-Officio (Chair of Governors), first appointed 9.5.23 by Diocese of Liverpool.
• Mr Jim Moodie – Local Authority Governor (Deputy Chair), first appointed 13.6.16 by Local Authority. Term of office: 2.5.24 to 1.5.28.
• Ms Charlotte Travis – Wigan Governor Services (Clerk)
• Mr Carl Brookfield – Foundation, first appointed on 21.2.26 by Liverpool Diocese Board of Education Executive Committee. Term of office: 21.2.26 to 20.2.30. (Partner of Jane Fairhurst, school Pastoral Lead.)
• Mrs Lindsey Lowe – Foundation, first appointed on 21.9.18 by Liverpool Parochial Church Council. Term of office: 16.9.22 to 15.9.26.
• Mrs Dawn Hughes – Foundation, first appointed on 24.11.23 by Liverpool Parochial Church Council. Term of office: 24.11.23 to 23.11.27.
• Mrs Jekaterina Smith – Parent, first appointed on 13.1.22 by Parent Election. Term of office: 12.2.26 to 11.2.30.
• Mrs Tokesi Akinola – Parent, first appointed on 12.2.26 by Parent Election. Term of office: 12.2.26 to 11.2.30.
• Mrs Deborah Fagan – Associate, first appointed on 1.11.17 by Full Governing Board. Term of Office: 12.2.26 to 11.2.27. (Full voting rights.)
• Ms Joanne Jolley – School Business Manager.
• Mrs Sue Pittendreigh – Headteacher. Appointed 1.1.20.
• Mr Mark Hillam – Staff, first appointed 19.9.18. Term of office: 1.9.22 to 31.8.26.
