Art & Music – Brazil

Year 6 had a fabulous week last week. We studied the Brazilian Culture and how Art and Music is represented. We focused on the Art process – gathering ideas, research, experimenting and designing. Throughout the Art process, we studied Romero Britto (a Brazilian artist) and how he expresses love, happiness and hope through his art work. The children created beautiful final pieces expressing their emotions as well as being influenced by Brazil. In music, we focused on the style of Samba and how this embodies the bright and bold Brazilian lifestyle. We practised and created our own Brazilian Samba rhythms.
