Hi year 4, I do hope you have had a wonderful week enjoying the sunshine. It has been wonderful to see photos on Class Dojo and Messenger to see you are all keeping well and safe. I miss our busy mornings all getting ready and jumping around our classroom to supermovers – I do hope you’ve been keeping up those dance moves at home.
English – Letter Writing
Over the next 2 weeks, I would like you to work on writing a letter to me telling me all about what you have been up to, remembering the features of a letter we have looked at in class. For some inspiration, I have wrote you all a letter…
This week’s focus is recapping subtraction. Below is a video to help you recap formal written method and a worksheet.
As you had all been working extra hard on your arithmetic skills, I have created an arithmetic paper for you to work through at your own pace. If you would like a challenge, set yourself a 20 minute timer.
Extra Challenge: If you fly through these, I would like you to use these subtraction skills to create an subtraction worksheet that I could complete!
This weeks focus is Find and copy questions looking at the skill of RETRIEVAL and VOCABULARY.
This week’s focus is a recap of complex sentences using ‘The Midnight Fox’ as a stimulus
Spelling: I have attached the Year 3/Year 4 spelling list. Use this to practise your handwriting.
The Wider Curriculum:
I would love to see which activities you have completed, you can send photos through school’s Facebook Messenger or Class Dojo (if you need the code for class Dojo, I can find these and resend)
Purple Mash – This week, I have set a variety of Science and Geography activities on your 2do page all around the topic Animals and Their Habitats!
Hope your week is as fabulous as you all are! ✨
Please make sure you stay safe, have fun and keep learning! I cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces and the work you create this week. Remember, photos – send to Class Dojo or School’s facebook messenger
Miss Coldron 😊👍♥
Here is a photo of us all enjoying Winter Wonderland – it made me smile (it must have been taken before the sticky wall)
