The new Year 2 topic is ‘Adventure Awaits!’ As our Brilliant Beginning, we all came dressed as explorers.
In the afternoon, we completed a pre-learning task about what we already know and what we would like to find out. Then, we had a treasure hunt to complete. We spilt into groups of 3’s and 4’s and were given an exploring bag. Miss Loveday had created a treasure hunt for us around school, and we have to use the clues to find pieces of a map. Once we had collected 9 pieces of a map, we had to put them together to find the route we needed to take to reach the treasure. Eventually, we managed to find it.
We enjoyed the sweets that had been placed in the treasure chest, whilst Year 5 came to us and shared some of their learning about space.
What a brilliant day exploring. We can’t wait to start out topic now… ☺️🌟🔍
