To brilliantly begin our topic, Reception had a very special visitor this afternoon. Our visitor was Charlie Bowling, a British wrestler, who has won gold and bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games! Charlie is a local athlete who trains in Aspull.
We were really grown up, and asked some fantastic questions. We found out about Charlie’s games in Australia, Estonia and Germany. We also loved hearing about how Charlie celebrates winning games, and how we stay fit and healthy.
A huge thank you to Charlie, you really are inspirational! We cannot wait to follow you and cheer you on in your future games – we might even see you at the Olympics!
