Hi Year 4,

I hope you have all have had a wonderfully, amazing Easter filled with family time, family and friends

facetimes and quality time spent in your gardens. I know I have been enjoying the sunshine, whilst practising my cartwheels in my garden, so I guess some of you may have been doing this too! I would love to hear all about what fun activities you have been doing so far!

For your weekly learning, each week I will be uploading a video for maths, reading and writing. There will be a tutorial for you to follow before you complete the worksheet/activity that goes with it. If you would like to print the worksheet you may, but it is not essential to do so. Use your jotters or a piece of paper you have at home!

Maths

First of all, this weeks focus is recapping addition. Below is a video to help you recap formal written method, True or False Challenge and a video to help you tackle a reasoning question.

As you had all been working extra hard on your arithmetic skills, I have created an arithmetic paper for you to work through at your own pace. If you would like a challenge, set yourself a 20 minute timer.

Extra Challenge: If you fly through these, I would like you to use these addition skills to create an addition worksheet that I could complete!

Alongside maths, reading and writing activities, each week I will upload a new ‘Home Learning Log’. These will contain a variety of activities linked to our learning that you can complete. I would love to see which activities you complete, you can send photos through school’s Facebook Messenger or Class Dojo (if you need the code for class Dojo, I can find these and resend)
