Reception are thoroughly enjoying the exploration of the Easter Story, starting with Shrove Tuesday, or known to our children as Pancake Day!
We used our skills of cutting, spreading and slicing very safely, when handling the knives to cut our snack. We enjoyed jam, lemon curd, chocolate spread and a variety of vegetables with our pancakes.
We discussed the importance of Shrove Tuesday, and the meaning of Lent. Some of the children have decided to give up sweets and chocolate – watch this space!
